Overall Summary of Position:

Plan and execute several stages of statistical programming support. Complete SAS program development of all phases of clinical studies for analyses and clinical study reports. Work as a liaison between Biometrics and Clinical Data Management.

 

Essential Duties:

·          Work closely with the clinical team in formulation of data definitions and validations. Offer solutions and provides project guideline and/or timelines

·          Act as a liaison between Biometrics and Clinical Data Management (CDM) groups in editing and ensuring the clinical data consistency and integrity

·          Responsible for the timely completion of SAS program development for tasks.  Conduct programming validations, and monitor efficient use of I/O and CPU

·          Work under general guidelines to develop and design clinical trial analysis programs and make recommendations for improvements

·          Investigate trends, identify techniques and make recommendations for new methods and technologies used in industry for reporting and managing clinical data

·          Participate in application development planning and design.  Seek and provide support to users and staff in the use of these applications

·          Responsible for all documentation and validations per SOPs within the project

Job Requirements:

Education and/or experience:   

·          Masters degree or educational equivalent in biostatistics, computer science or related field and 3 – 5 years of experience in pharmaceutical/biotech industry or Clinical Research Organizations (CROs); Bachelor's degree or educational equivalent in biostatistics, computer science or related field and 4 – 6 years of experience; or equivalent combination of education, training and experience

·          Knowledge of statistical computing applications such as Base SAS, SAS/STAT and SAS Macro Language

·          Good understanding of Clinical Data Management operations and working knowledge of Oracle Clinical.

·          Detail-oriented in dealing with clinical data and statistical programming.

·          Knowledge of statistics and/or clinical drug development process

·          Effective oral and written communication skills

·          Good organizational, interpersonal, leadership, communication skills and multi-tasking abilities
