The
Deposit Risk Management - Risk Analysis team is seeking an exceptional risk
management professional to join our team in San Francisco.
In this newly developed role, you will be building a
new analytical foundation to improve the risk management of deposits (e.g.,
fraud, credit, identify theft). You will play an integral role in guiding
senior management with your ideas and creative solutions, impacting the bank’s
deposit portfolio bottom-line.
The position requires an outstanding professional
attitude and work ethic to be matched with an analytical curiosity (i.e.
digging beneath the numbers) and database expertise. The dynamic nature of the
business environment as well as the drive for making more informed decisions

Key responsibilities:
- Provide analysis and recommend change in risk
policies and processes where appropriate to improve risk/revenue tradeoff
- Provide leadership and expertise in quantitative
methods and statistical modeling
- Explore new opportunities to improve upon current
risk management programs
- Partner and communicate with various groups on
projects
- Identify and create solutions for emerging risk
related issues.
- Present findings and recommendations to key
stakeholders and senior management
Minimum Qualifications
· Bachelor's degree in quantitative discipline (e.g. Economics, Statistics, Finance), MBA preferred
· 5+ years of work experience in a decision support role
· Experienced in conducting in-depth research of business decisions and new opportunities
· Able to quickly identify emerging trends and the drivers behind them
· 2-4 years expert database experience in one or more of the following: SQL Server, Teradata, Oracle, SAS
· Strong SAS statistical modeling experience
· Strong knowledge of SQL
· Clear communication and presentation skills
· Excellent attention to detail and a track record of delivering on commitments
· Comfortable working independently as well as part of a focused team
Preferred Skills:
· Familiar with the retail deposit banking business and operating losses
· Experienced in leading cross-functional project teams
· Advanced mainframe data extraction and manipulations
